What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They serve various purposes — from keeping you logged in to remembering your preferences. SEDU uses the absolute minimum number of cookies needed to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party profiling technologies of any kind.
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the core security and functionality of the platform. They maintain authenticated user sessions and admin sessions across requests. These cannot be disabled without preventing login and account features.
Analytics Cookies
If analytics is enabled in future, we will use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics. We do not currently set third-party analytics cookies. Any analytics implementation will be disclosed in a policy update.
Preference & Local Storage
SEDU stores client-side preferences (such as theme) in your browser's localStorage — not in server tracking cookies. This data stays entirely on your device and is never shared with third parties. Note that the marketplace cart is persisted securely on our servers, not in local storage.
How to Control Cookies
- You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies on a per-site basis.
- Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the admin dashboard if you are a SEDU team member.
- Disabling cookies does not affect your ability to use or view the public-facing SEDU website.
- Your theme preference is stored in localStorage (not a cookie) and can be cleared by clearing your browser's site data.
